Collection: Peanut Barrel Doodles

I'm sitting at a table in the Peanut Barrel (with a number of friends) in February of 2017, most likely watching a Spartan basketball game. A commercial comes on. Being an ardent disliker of commercials, I look for any distraction I can. There in front of me are some 4" x 4" drink napkins. Not being part of any ongoing conversation, I pull out my trusty black Flair pen and begin to doodle, with no pre-conceived notion of content. And so, at every consequent break in the game I add more until it seems to be done.

I then subsequently take this original black & white napkin doodle to my local FedEx/Kinkos and, on the photocopier, make it somewhat larger, go home and color the doodle (and maybe add some additional detail) using my art pens. This done, I then mat it. The finished Peanut Barrel doodle is 10" x 10". So ends the tale of the first Peanut Barrel Napkin Doodle. Many more were to follow in the coming months.
